ChurchTrac: How to Embed a Blog in Church Connect Page
ChurchTrac is a Church Management System that offers a customizable member portal, called Church Connect, for your congregation. Church Connect is installable as an app on your phone or tablet, and it’s also accessible on a computer through a browser.
One of the things that makes Church Connect so completely customizable is the option of adding code to the Page Cards.
If you’re already familiar with the card options available within Church Connect, you may be thinking that a Link Card is the best way to connect to a blog.
A Link Card will work perfectly fine, however, embedding your blog on a Page Card will keep your users inside your Church Connect app, whereas a Link Card will take them away from your app. From a user’s point of view, using a Page Card makes it easier to find their way back to the main page, and continue accessing other pages within your Church Connect app.
If your blogging platform allows embedding, like Blogger does, you can use a simple iframe to display right inside your Church Connect app.
Embed Your Blog in a Church Connect Page Card
1) Log into your ChurchTrac.com account, and navigate to the Church Connect section (click Settings, then Church Connect).
2) Start a new Page Card, or click on one that you’ve previously created.
3) Click Edit Page Content.
4) Click the </> Code View button.
5) Type this code: <iframe src=”url” title=”description”></iframe>
6) Replace “url” with the url of your blog. It should look something like this: “https://blog.smallchurchadmin.com”
7) Replace “description” with the name of your blog. Mine would look like this: “Small Church Admin Blog”
8) Remember to click Save Content! That’s all there is to it! Now your congregation can see your blog content without ever leaving your Church Connect app.
