Church Connect: How To Embed

Church Connect is the member portal web app (pwa) offered by ChurchTrac, a church management system (ChMS).

ChurchTrac is used to record, store, manage and track the people, ministries, and finances of your church or ministry. To utilize Church Connect, you must first have a paid ChurchTrac account. Once your Church Connect app is set up, your congregation can sign in and view anything you post there, in addition to their own personal contact information, their giving records, and their serving schedule. It can also be used to track attendance and registrations for events.

Church Connect is a standalone site, specific to your own church.

When users visit it, they’ll see a pop-up message, asking if they’d like to download the app to their device. Once they do, they’ll see an icon on their homepage or in their app drawer, and be able to access it just like any other app.

Church Connect is as functional as what you do with it and how you set it up.

I’ve been able to add the Bible to our Church Connect app, as well as an automatically updating bulletin, video sermons and devotionals, a training manual, Google Forms, spreadsheets, a Prayer Wall, a library, and so much more, all thanks to the ability to embed code using the code viewer function of the Page Cards and Form Cards.

When designing the look and layout of your Church Connect app, you’ll be able to make use of a number of different cards. Page Cards are just like a regular webpage, with no specific functionality. This makes them the most flexible. Form Cards allow you to add fields for responses from your users, but they also give you a code viewer screen that allows you to embed anything from iframes to images to links.

What is embedding?

Definition: Embedding refers to the integration of links, images, videos, gifs and other content into social media posts or other web media.
